City Council bans alcohol, tobacco use in parks

In an attempt to oust loitering drinkers and smokers from city parks, the Tehachapi City Council approved a resolution banning the use of tobacco and alcohol in these areas during its regular meeting on Monday, July 1.

Travis County may ban smoking, tobacco use other county property

Travis County Commissioners will consider banning all tobacco products and electronic cigarettes on county property, premises and outside. The majority of commissioners said the American-Statesman on Monday that they would support a ban.

Tobacco use is still dangerous high among young people and adults

We have made much progress with our knowledge of the dangers of tobacco use in the past six decades, however, with all this knowledge, we still find that the high level of tobacco use among adolescents and young adults.
